These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of window and gutter cleaning services (“Services”) by West Mid Window Cleaning (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to you (“you”, “your”, or “Client”) via our website westmidwindowcleaning.co.uk (the “Site”) or otherwise. By booking or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not book or use our Services.

1. Services Description

We provide professional cleaning services in the West Midlands, UK, including:

Window Cleaning

Interior and exterior cleaning of standard windows and frames, sills, and basic access areas (up to 2 storeys; higher access requires prior agreement and additional fees). Priced based on number of bedrooms (as a proxy for property size).

Gutter Cleaning

Cleaning of gutters, including debris removal (up to 2 storeys; excludes blockages or repairs). Priced based on linear metres.

Services are booked via our third-party platform Alteg.io, using Google Maps for address autocomplete.

Exclusions

Fragile/specialist glass, conservatories, high-rise (over 2 storeys without equipment), hazardous conditions (e.g., bird nests), or roof repairs. We perform Services with reasonable care and skill as per the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Gutter Cleaning Prices

GUTTER CLEANING

  • 5-10 m. Gutters at 50-80 £
  • 10-15 m. Gutters at 65-85 £
  • 15-20 m. Gutters at 85-100 £
  • 20-25 m. Gutters at 100-130 £
  • 25-50 m. Gutters at 130-230 £

2. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: Submit via Site/Alteg.io. We confirm via email/SMS. Bookings are binding once confirmed and paid
  • Pricing: As per table above, plus 10% discount for recurring sessions. Prices exclude VAT (if applicable) and extras
  • Payment: 100% upfront via Stripe at booking. No deposits required. Late payments (if applicable) incur 2% monthly interest under Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2013
  • Taxes: Prices include VAT where required

3. Cancellation and Refunds

By You

You may cancel at any time before the scheduled service date:

  • Full refund (100% of payment) without any commission or admin fee if cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice: 50% fee (to cover scheduling costs)
  • No-shows: Full charge

By Us

We may cancel due to weather, access issues, or force majeure (e.g., strikes). Full refund without commission if not rescheduled.

Refunds processed via Stripe within 14 days of cancellation request. No commissions or fees deducted.

4. Your Obligations

  • Provide safe access (e.g., keys, parking). Ensure property is unoccupied if requested
  • Report issues immediately. You are responsible for valuables/security
  • For recurring Services, notify changes 7 days in advance

5. Our Liability and Insurance

  • We carry public liability insurance up to £2 million for damage caused by our negligence
  • Liability limited to the value of the job. No liability for indirect losses (e.g., business interruption) or pre-existing damage
  • We are not liable for: Windows/glass damage unless proven negligent; theft (unless insured); or delays beyond control
  • Services comply with health/safety laws (e.g., Work at Height Regulations 2005)

6. Termination

  • Either party may terminate recurring Services with 14 days’ notice
  • We may terminate immediately for breach (e.g., non-payment, unsafe access)

7. Intellectual Property

Site content (text, images) is ours; you may not use without permission.

8. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes resolved via small claims court or alternative dispute resolution (e.g., CEDR). We do not participate in online dispute resolution via EU ODR platform.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms; notify via Site/email. Continued use = acceptance.

10. Miscellaneous

  • Force Majeure: No liability for events beyond control (e.g., pandemics)
  • Severability: Invalid clauses do not affect others
  • Third Parties: Alteg.io, Stripe, Google act as our agents; their terms apply where relevant
